Koi Boys

The Koi Boys shot to fame in 2016 after their charismatic appearance on The Voice Australia, winning over fans both in Australia and across the Tasman with their energetic performance of the doo-wop classic “Sha-Boom (Life Could Be A Dream)”. Fresh off their win for Highest Selling Album at the 2017 New Zealand Music Awards, The Koi Boys visit to the Picton Maritime Festival sees them performing songs from their albums Meant To Be and Shake It!, as well as a host of hits from yesterday, today and forever!

Their debut album Meant To Be saw The Koi Boys bottle the energy, enthusiasm and genre-spanning talent that has earned them their passionate fan base and notoriety as one of the most sought-after live vocal trios in the country. Since its release, they have performed at likes of Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park and the Matariki Awards, as well as Australian Woman of The Year. Meant To Be went on to win Highest Selling Album at the 2017 New Zealand Music Awards.

Shake It follows their platinum-certified runaway hit record Meant To Be, which debuted at #1 in New Zealand and remained in the album chart for a staggering 18 weeks.

3 Ring Circus

Back by popular demand Deryn & Paul bringing their own range unique circus skills, Paul a multi winning full time juggler, fire performer & the brilliant talents of Deryn with her world class Hula Hoop act combining there talents to perform at the Picton Maritime Festival.

Brilliant Balloonists

Once again this year we are bringing back the incredible brilliant balloon twisting family to the shores for this Picton Festival, creating unbelievable mini works of balloon brilliance in front of you very eyes AND it is all FREE – so from “Maritime themed to Disney’s Frozen and every other superhero and so much more.

The Barleyshakes - Kelly Family Band

A rare delight, the Kelly Family band play Australian folk music flavoured with Celtic and American styles with surprising skill, and totally infectious joyous abandon.

Rory the youngest at 15, plays the bodhran, saxophone, cello, piano and guitar with the cool collected style of a veteran musician.

Mocara (Irish for my friend) is 17 years old, a keen fiddler, and drummer, and is the mischievous one .

Mum (Kristin), and Dad (Alan) are founder members of the Irish band the Barleyshakes and consider this time of the family life to be pure gold. The Kelly Family Band are a joy to behold and their music is an upbeat passionate blend of many styles.

They have performed in Prague, Liepzig, Berlin, Poland, Lorient festival, Paris, Alsace, Milan, Provence, and Ireland , as well as all over Australia and New Zealand! In 2018/19 they will perform at Woodford Folk festival and will tour the South Island of New Zealand. for info

Kath Bee

Kath Bee has provided the soundtrack to a generation of kiwi kids lives with her songs "Individuality',  'Dad I wanna be a Camel', 'Dragons Under My Bed' and more. With 6 albums and over 60 songs under her belt, Kath is an award-winning songwriter who has a knack for crafting intelligent, thoughtful songs that resonate with children of all ages.

Her performances are interactive and compelling. She easily draws the audience in, keeps them engaged and leaves everyone, including the grown-ups, feeling happy.

Goodtime Music Academy

Goodtime Music Academy will be performing on stage after the 50 or so children after they have learnt how to make music from anything i.e. rubbish bins, during the two day workshops before the festival. Sponsored by the Creative Communities Scheme administered by Marlborough District Council.
